The Humble Beginning ( 2640 - 2700 )
It all started when Horde Industries was established in 2640 in the capital city of Prime on the Earth-like world of Terra. Our Founder and then CEO Adrian Horde created Horde Industries to fill a growing industrial need for the system. As Terra's population continued to grow after it's founding in 2516, so to did the need for resources. Adrian however did not want to see the stunning beauty of Terra diminished and thus created Horde Industries with the intent to travel to uninhabitated systems in order to look for resources.

Fastforward twenty years and Adrian had built Horde Industries into a respectable industrial corporation, albeit no where near the size and robustness of some others throughout the UEE. However, Adrian had no interest in expanding Horde Industries past it's modest size and goals. This did not sit well with the board of directors, ever concerned with increasing profit margins and the shareholds return on investment.

Despite the fact that Horde Industries was showing respectable profits and was generally well liked for its safe, environmentally concious and professional practices, the board of directors continued to put pressure on Adrian to scale up the business and start to expand into habitable systems.

Adrian fought hard in a attempt to perserve his company and its noble goals, but eventually after nearly sixty years as CEO the board; impatient with Adrian's lack of cooperation, voted him out.

The Downfall ( 2701 - 2850 )
Adrian broken by the betrail of the board of directors, did his best to move on and raise his children as Horde Industries was renamed to the Dark Orbit Mining Company and began its transformation into a powerful mega-corporation. Sadly, only three years later in 2703 Adrian Horde passed away at the age of 98. By this time Dark Orbit had brought on it's second ever CEO Divena Ross. Divena immediately began mobilizing the companies divisions into new systems, while tasking the engineers with the development of new technology to drastically expand operations on all ends.

The expansion of Dark Orbit seemed to happen nearly overnight once Divena took over. Within 20 years Dark Orbit quintoupled in size and had increased it's profit margins two-hundred fold. This era of profitibility continued for roughly another one-hundred and twenty-five years, until it came to a sudden end. At this point Divena had retired and passed the torch onto Dark Orbit's third CEO Rivicion Delacy around 2801 at the age of 123. Rivicion immedately expanded on what Divena had built, and despite the more unethical practices Divena profited from this was not enough for Rivicion, who began systematically and illegally profiting from developing worlds, destroying countless flora, fauna, and indigienous people; all in pursuit of profits.

Thankfully, this didn't last long. Rivicion was sloppy and left a wanton trail of destruction that was easily picked up on by galatic media. After a high profile piece broke on Spectrum, Rivicion's immoral acts were plastered everywhere for all to see. Within a few short days Rivicion and the Board of Directors were brought up on charges that led to a lengthy and highly publisized trial. In the end Rivicion and the Board were found guilty of violating the Fair Chance Act and imprisoned. However, with this Dark Orbit began to crumble as shareholders and the rest of the galaxy abandoned the corporation. In 2826 Dark Orbit was bought by the Valeren Corporation in an attempt to recouperate. They began by hiring a new CEO Jason Xylon and assigning a new Board of Directors. Despite their attempts to recover the brand the damage was already done, even with the new leadership Dark Orbit's profits plummetted before ultimately in 2850 Valeren announced that they would be desolving Dark Orbit.

The Resurrection ( 2850 - 2949 )

After the disolution of Dark Orbit, much of the the once golaith mining corporation's assets were sold or incorporated into their parent company Valeren. Meanwhile, much of the galaxy had moved on or simply forgotten Dark Orbit and it's earlier incarnation Horde Industries. That was of course except for the Horde family. Due to Adrian Horde's time as CEO of Horde Industries his family had accumulated a fair amount of wealth, and after his death most of this wealth would be passed down through several generations before finally landing in the sole control of Adrian's Great Grandson Damian Horde.

Damian, born in the year 2919 would grow up hearing stories of his Great Grandfather, and his time as a powerful CEO of Horde Industries. While his family had gone on to do great things since Adrian's passing, Damian wanted to continue his Grandfather's legacy, But as time went on and life got in the way as it so often does, Damian found himself as a low level executive of an engineering firm on Microtech. By 2949 at the age of 30 Damian had grown tired of his life and felt as though he was destined for more. It would so happen that Adrian Horde felt the same way.

Back on Terra at the Horde Estate, Damian would find a small cache on the property that housed many of his Great Grandfather's belongings, Including plans for his successors to take over the company upon his death as well as a listing of several well hidden ore rich seams and deposits throughout the verse. Intrigued and excited by the find, Damian's passion was reignited. He quit his executive job on Microtech and convinced his closest friends to join him in an endevour to resurrect his family business. Inspired by his Great Grandfather's environmental work and passion to help those in need, Damian and his new Board of Directors immediately began work on what would eventually become S.E.A.M. Industries.

The New Beginning ( 2950 - )
S.E.A.M. Industries was established on October 16th, 2950 on the planet Microtech. It's aim and focus though similar to Adrian's original vision has been significantly expanded by CEO and Founder Damian Horde. The company has now expanded into serveral new areas of expertise including Salavage, Engineering, Aerospace ( Security, and Logistics) and of course Mining. These departments make up the bulk of S.E.A.M's Intended business.

Despite our yet unproven pedigree, S.E.A.M. is poised to make significant strides in both size and scale as our departmental structure comes online. While we have a ways to go in order to achieve our goal of being the best industrial corporation in the verse, we know that we have what it takes to get there.

Damian and the Board of Directors have a combined total of several decades of experience in the business world, as well as in the fields of software engineering, geology, mechancial engineering, aerospace engineering, logistics and more. It is with this experience that S.E.A.M. Industries intends to expand out from the Stanton System into as many other systems as possible.

As a final security measure, and in a good faith gesture we will also be working closely with the UEE and the Navy to ensure that all operations are sanctioned and allowed under UEE law. More information on this can be found here.
